I am writing to you today with some exciting news about an upcoming event at Outwood Primary Academy Ledger Lane.
Next Friday, 4th July, we will be holding a special non-uniform day to celebrate our "Being Me" week! This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to express their unique identity and aspirations through their clothing. We encourage pupils to come to school wearing an outfit that truly reflects who they are, or even who they aspire to be! Please do not feel that you need buy anything new - this is not the case.
Perhaps they have a favourite T-shirt that showcases their love for a particular band, hinting at a future as a musician (please ensure all logos are appropriate, and please no revealing vests, tops, etc -). Maybe certain colours hold deep personal meaning for them. This day is all about celebrating individuality and self-expression, and your support in helping them choose a meaningful outfit would be greatly appreciated, as they will be completing work based on this theme throughout the day.
In addition to celebrating their uniqueness, we are also using this non-uniform day as an opportunity to gather donations for a very special new initiative: our calm breaktime area. We are passionate about creating a tranquil and engaging space where pupils can relax, read, and play quiet games during break times. To help us furnish this area, we would be incredibly grateful for any donations of a minimum of £1 per pupil (on parent pay). These contributions will make a real difference in providing resources that help us to create a nurturing environment for all our children.
Thank you for your continued support in making our academy a fantastic place for learning and growing. We are really looking forward to seeing the wonderful ways our pupils express themselves next Friday!
Warm regards,
Paul Foster
